You can play Snake once the train begins to move as you’ll need to pick the passengers that are animated as humans. Although BrainBread 2 is simply a mod, mods these days do seem to have a way of outdoing themselves. The objective is to pick up as many passengers as you possibly can until the train crashes into itself or the boundaries. Now isn’t that challengingly sweet? Graphics, source engine good, game play, Left 4 Dead + CounterStrike good enough, music and sound effects, same and the voice pack, very Left 4 Dead! Price, Free2Play and ready to mod! Just give the game time to grow and let the modders and level designers have their feast on it. One scratch from a zombie can get you infected so bye-bye round and you have to do it all over again. There’s that “kill 50 zombies” requirement which seems so hard to reach because you always run out of ammo and have to get down from the watchtower you’re camping at. Has anyone tried the Bunny-Hop on this? Anyway, if you love playing FPS and fighting zombies, the game will immerse you one way or the other. Most of the tricks you learn from CounterStrike would probably apply to the game like ctrl-w-spacebar which lets you boost your jump. We won’t discuss keyboarding no more as the info is already in the game and easy to learn. The game starts you off with a modest tutorial where you run, jump obstacles, pick up and handle weapons and accomplish a quick skirmish where you can rip-up the Joes or shoot up the zombies with glee. Note however that you can’t use a flashlight but hitting the “F” key gives you a sort of light vision so gory and bright. Nothing complicated considering all you do is lurch around, attack the living and growl “Join Us” at every surviving Joe you see. As a Zombie, you’ve got a set of basic skills to learn. Proficiency gives you the skill to handle weapons, ammo and equipment like the Pistol, Rifle Master, and Empowered Bullets among others. Strength gives you skills like Pain Killer, Power Kick, Armor Master and more. Agility gives you skills like Acrobatics, Melee Speed, Health Regeneration and more. You earn points through-out the game which you can spend on this skill sets. A human can gain skills classified under Agility, Strength and Proficiency. Both humans and zombs have their own special skill tree or character properties. All player characters are Male (just like CounterStrike) and you get to choose if you want to be a Marine, a lawyer, a Mime, a Pyrotechnics businessman, a security guard or a Vin Diesel in boxer shorts. Character choice is limited though to only one side (humans) because when you die in the game, you become a Zombie. The title screen (with the Dracula music) gives you options to adjust your settings, choose your game map and play offline, play on an online server and choose your character. You know what – now that I’ve thought of it, the game totally feels like a Valve game. Look at Insurgency or any other Valve Mod game for the matter. Well, it is a mod of Half Life 2 so the potential will always be there. The game needs to grow and they’re giving the gaming community a taste of it. It’s in Alpha, Beta or whatever stage in between. In short, the game was designed with modders and developers in mind. Firstly, the game comes with modding resources as if expecting the user to spend time using the Source editor to create additional content for the game. Though not directly developed by Valve, the game has sort of the trademark features which made the original Valve Mods popular the way they are. Spending countless hours on CounterStrike gives you a certain perspective when playing BrainBread 2 that creates an unintentional comparison by which the game gets measured being somewhat a Steam title and all. Playing the game gives you the feeling that the developers simply combined both Left 4 Dead and CounterStrike Zombie Mod then added features of their own that made it a more detailed or complicated game depending on how you look at it. The game now uses Source thus sporting smooth graphics and fast immersive gameplay. Do your best to not get infected and turned into a flesh-eating zombie in this FPS/RPG game Level up to earn skill points for your character, be it a human or a zombie Enjoy the game's many different maps, each containing ammo and health packs for you to collect Newly released on Steam, BrainBread 2 is a First Person Zombie Shooter that can be viewed as a remake and sequel to the original mod which came out for the GoldSource game engine.
